Technology Advancement Center (TAC) Appoints Chris Hollifield as Chief Strategy Officer

Columbia, MD – [03.03.25] – The Technology Advancement Center (TAC) is proud to announce the appointment of Chris Hollifield as its new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). With a career spanning 27 years in Intelligence and Cyber Operations within the Department of Defense and the U.S. private sector, Mr. Hollifield brings a wealth of expertise to TAC’s mission of advancing  defense technology capabilities for the U.S. Government.

As a recognized thought leader , Mr. Hollifield has an exceptional track record in strategic planning, operational execution, and fostering collaboration across government and private sector organizations. His ability to identify opportunities, drive innovative solutions, and execute high-impact strategies will be instrumental in TAC’s growth and continued success.

Mr. Hollifield has played a pivotal role in national security, serving as a Special Advisor to the Director of the National Security Agency/ the Chief of the Central Security Service/ the Commander of U.S. Cyber Command as a Highly Qualified Expert (HQE). In this capacity, he provided executive-level strategic guidance to top national security leaders, overseeing offensive and defensive cyber operations, artificial intelligence integration, cyber policy and programs, and capability development strategies.

He was instrumental in crafting strategic communication and engagement plans that advanced mission-critical initiatives across the Department of Defense, congressional oversight committees, industry, allied nations, and academia.

Additionally, Mr. Hollifield spearheaded the development and implementation of a multi-year, adversary-focused cyber campaign aligned with the National Defense Strategy. This ongoing initiative fosters agile collaboration by synchronizing authorities, capabilities, and resources across multiple partners—enhancing national security outcomes.

Prior to his tenure at NSA and USCYBERCOM, Mr. Hollifield began his career in the U.S. Army as an active-duty intelligence officer, specializing in intelligence support to airborne infantry, counterterrorism, and cyber effects operations. Following his military service, he founded Chaos Classified LLC, serving as President and CEO, where he enabled government and private sector organizations to operationalize cyber capabilities and integrate artificial intelligence solutions.
